What Turkish law requires
Every employer in Türkiye must provide OHS services.
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, employers must appoint an occupational safety specialist and a workplace physician, and, in very hazardous workplaces with 10 or more employees, an additional health professional. These services can be provided in-house or contracted from an authorised OSGB such as SİSTEMER. Contracts are registered and approved by both parties in the Ministry’s İSG-KATİP system.
The required time on site depends on your workplace’s hazard class, which is determined by the NACE code of your main activity (the list was renewed with 6-digit NACE Rev.2.1 codes in 2025), and on your headcount. A new training regulation entered into force on 2 April 2026.
Outsourcing to an OSGB does not transfer the employer’s legal responsibility. That is why we work with a written annual plan, documented site visits and clear records you can show in an inspection.
